Image resolution dispute edit

There seems to be a slight dispute/confusion about the acceptability of the size of the image. As it goes, 400 × 300 pixels is fairly small a size. It has been stated that 300 pixels would be an ideal size, but that may not be an absolution. The nearest to a policy guideline we have on this is Wikipedia:Fair use/Definition of "low resolution", which mentions 400 pixels as the ideal, and which still is defunct. The rest is a convention, open to interpretation. As far as I can see, even the highest grade articles, which are so by community consensus, interprets the "low resolution" clause case by case. Thus Casablanca has a 515×755 pixels infobox image, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial has 266×416 pixels after deprecation, The Lord of the Rings (1978 film) has 350×524 pixels... and so on. Therefore, I strongly recommend that, until a new guideline emerges this image may be considered as fairly small in size and low in resolution. Thank you.
