It's not a Hebridean, as those are always black, and females are normally (but not always) horned. Also, the wool looks rather fine for a Heb. Could however easily be a Shetland, whose females are normally polled and which have very fine fleece. The Hampshire Wildlife Trust do keep Shetlands on St Catherine's Hill. - Later edit: I was a unfamiliar with why Richard mentioned the Hampshire Wildlife Trust's St. Catherine's Hill reserve in his post above, so I looked it up and found their web site. This nature preserve is located near Southampton, which is where the photographer Jim Champion indicates he is from. The logical conclusion that Richard seems to have deduced from this seem to be that perhaps Jim took the photo of that sheep at the Hampshire Wildlife preserve near his home.

- Ah! Well, in that case, seeing as how there is indeed a flock of Shetland Sheep breed woollies at St. Catherine's Hill reserve (and from what I can tell, there are no other types of breed there), then the photo must almost certainly be of a Shetland Sheep. --Saukkomies talk 17:24, 14 March 2010 (UTC)
