Latest comment: 18 years ago by SPUI in topic MA state agency copyright status

I emailed the BWSC a few months ago asking about the copyright status, and got no reply. It's doubtful that that means anything. --SPUI (talk) 07:28, 2 Jun 2005 (UTC)

I've sent one email to the admin contact for the BRA tool and placed two calls to the BWSC, each time forwarded to the voicemail of Joe McGekrin (sp?). I've not received a response to any of these. My next step would be to go to their office, but I'm in no position to do that. - Keith D. Tyler [AMA] 18:03, Jun 24, 2005 (UTC)

From http://www.sec.state.ma.us/arc/arcres/residx.htm:

Records created by Massachusetts government are not copyrighted and are available for public use.

The remaining question whether the BWSC is considered state agency or city agency, and what the city's policy is.

That seems to be an error on that site; [1] clearly says "©2005 Commonwealth of Massachusetts" at the bottom. I've found nothing else online saying that; it probably applies to "official records" as opposed to all government publications. --SPUI (talk) 01:03, 16 July 2005 (UTC)Reply
