Die ehemalige Burg, liegt auf halber Höhe des Hiesberg-Hanges. Die Ursprünge einer Wehranlage gehen bis ins 12. Jahrhundert zurück. Die Burg, die zu einem Schloss ausgebaut wurde, war relativ lange bewohnt. Der Verfall dürfte erst im späten 19. oder Anfang des 20. Jahrhunderts eingesetzt haben.
