Summary

Description

This is the genuine Yak-3 which was previously on display at the Museum of Flying in Santa Monica, CA. It is the machine flown by Hero of the Soviet Union Lt.General Yeremin and was part of the Central Russian AF museum at Monino, although it was loaned out to the Yakolev museum at some point. It moved to the United States in 1991 but when the Santa Monica museum closed in 2005 the aeroplane moved to the CAF at Camarillo. It remained on display there until at least 2012. It is now on display at the Vadim Zadorozhny Technical Museum, Arkhangelskoye, Moscow Oblast, Russia. 26th August 2017.

Where that airframe, marked '12 grey' has moved on to is unknown.
