Summary

Description
English: Y Lôn Goed Y Lôn Goed (Wood Lane) was constructed from 1819 to 1828 by John Maughan through the land of the Talhenbont estate to facilitate the transport of lime and peat. It runs about five miles from Afonwen to Hendre Cennin.

Over the past year Gwynedd Council have carried out improvement works to this historic lane, including repairs to the path, new gates and handsome signage. The verse is from the poem "Eifionydd" by R. Williams Parry.

A llonydd gorffenedig Yw llonydd y Lôn Goed

The peace of Lôn Goed Is perfect peace
