Summary

Description
English: The westbound Wolverine at Hammond/Whiting station in November 1984. A note about identification: Eleven westbound trains passed Hammond/Whiting in 1984. The Cardinal, Broadway Limited, Lake Shore Limited, and Capitol Limited were long-distance trains not consistent with this consist. The International, Twilight Limited, and Lake Cities passed in the late afternoon or after dark, inconsistent with the midday shadows. The Calumet and Indiana Connection were commuter trains without baggage cars. The Pere Marquette was typically two coaches; even on the day after Thanksgiving, it would not have run six coaches. This leaves the Wolverine, which matches the consist and was scheduled for 11:40am.
