This image is of a poster, and the copyright for it is most likely owned by either the publisher or the creator of the work depicted. It is believed that the use of scaled-down, low-resolution images of posters to provide critical commentary on the film, event, etc. in question or of the poster itself, not solely for illustration on the English-language Wikipedia, hosted on servers in the United States by the non-profit Wikimedia Foundation, qualifies as fair use under the copyright law of the United States. Though this image is subject to copyright, its use is covered by the U.S. fair use laws, and the stricter requirements of Wikipedia's non-free content policies, because:

1. It represents visual critical commentary on topics addressed in the main article, to wit the different stocks offered with the Model 52 Target Rifle.
2. The image is not replaceable with an uncopyrighted or freely copyrighted image of comparable educational value.
3. It is a low resolution image, and thus not suitable for production of counterfeit advertising.
4. The image is not used in such a way that a reader would be confused into believing that the article is written or authorized by Winchester Repeating Arms Co. or its successors-in-interest.
5. The original was distributed free of charge with the express intent of putting the image of the Model 52 before the largest number of people possible.
6. Use in this article can in no way interfere with sales of the Model 52, even if it were still in production, nor with distribution of advertising by Winchester, even if it still existed.
