Summary

Description
English: 18th century painting showing the 12th century Romanesque abbey church of Wiblingen.
The medieval church, which had survived a 13th century fire that almost entirely destroyed the monastery, was only torn down in the 18th century after the new Baroque abbey church was completed. The two knights in armour represent the counts Hartmann and Otto von Kirchberg, the 11th century founders and patrons of the abbey.
