Das schwarze Balkenkreuz in Silber stellt das Wappen des Kurfürstentums [Köln] dar, da Köln ehemals die Landesherrschaft besaß, worunter nur [Katzwinkel]und Hörschhausen als Zugehörige des Kreises [Daun] zählten. Der goldene Hausanker in Form eines "H" steht für den zweiten Teil des Ortsnamens "hausen" und für den Anfangsbuchstaben des Ortsnamens. Quelle
