Date Verleihung des Gemeindewappens und Genehmigung der vom Gemeinderat am 3. November 1983 festgesetzten Gemeindefarben durch Beschluss der oberösterreichischen Landesregierung vom 16. Jänner 1984.
Object history Das Florianer Kreuz verweist auf die seelsorgliche Betreuung der Pfarre Walding durch das Stift, die Wellenleiste auf die das Gemeindegebiet durchfließende, in zwei Hälften teilende Große Rodl. - Die grüne Farbe des Schildfußes deutet auf den land- und forstwirtschaftlichen Charakter der Gemeinde.
