English: A plaque at the foot of the Villers-Bretonneux monument aux morts remembers the role played by the Australians in liberating the village. Just outside Villers-Bretonneux is the Australian National Memorial erected to commemorate all Australian soldiers who fought in France and Belgium during the First World War especially those of the dead whose graves are not known.
