Title
Upper Paleolithic Blade
Description
English: An Upper Paleolithic blade, 119mm in length. This is a thick, high-backed blade with an abrupt end, which suggests that it may come from a two platform core. The striking platform is heavily abraded. In profile the blade is curved. The whole is patinated a chalky buff, with iron staining on the ventral face. There is some ventral edge damage or post-patination retouch on the left edge. It is likely to be very late in date, from around 28,000-9,000 BC.
