English: Strait of Gibraltar (July 19, 2005) – The Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70) transits through the Strait of Gibraltar as she makes her way to the Atlantic Ocean. Carl Vinson will end its deployment with a homeport shift from San Diego, Calif., to Norfolk, Va., and commence a three-year refuel and complex overhaul.
