Description The U.S. Navy destroyer USS Nicholas (DD-449) steams alongside the guided missile cruiser USS Richmond K. Truner (DLG-20) in the South China Sea, circa 1966. Richmond K. Truner was (then) flagship of Destroyer Squadron 20 "Rampant Lions" of which Nicholas had been the first flagship.
