File:Train Driver in Japan Pointing.jpg

Original file (3,072 × 2,304 pixels, file size: 2.32 MB, MIME type: image/jpeg)

Summary

Description As the train accelerates and decelerates the conductor reaches out and points in the direction of travel- I was told it is some sort of ritual of connecting movement to the action. There was also a ritualistic pointing and sliding to the correct spot on the schedule (hanging to the right)
