English: Thomas Guy This statue of Thomas Guy (1644-1724) stands outside the main entrance of the hospital he founded, Guy's. Guy was a bookseller who made a fortune from investing in the South Sea Company and later became MP for Tamworth. He never lived to see the opening of the hospital, having died during its construction.
