Thermalgrease.jpg (500 × 333 pixels, file size: 72 KB, MIME type: image/jpeg)
Summary
editPicture of a GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) with thermal grease applied as a small dot to the middle of the GPU. The force of the CPU/GPU's heatsink will spread the Thermal paste over the processor's surface.
It is always important not to apply too much metal thermal paste to the CPU/GPU as excessive amount of applied thermal grease can act as a thermal isolator, and thereby lowering the capacities of cooling power.
Always apply some sort of thermal grease or paste and read your processor's manual.
