Updated: Mike Hunter makes the observation that there is also a 'City' in the Vale of Glamorgan, in SS9978. That makes you wonder if the name has a derivation from the welsh word 'Ty' for a house, except that there's also another tiny place called 'City' in Suffolk in TM3988, which rather weakens that theory. |
