Summary

Description
English: The John Summers Building by the River Dee The John Summers steel works at Shotton was built on re-claimed land towards the end of the 19th century, but the house/office building shown here is dated 1907. It is built just behind the flood bank of the River Dee, facing across the river to where many of the steel workers would have lived. It can be seen in situ from across the river in 404738. The photo is taken from the cycleway that runs along the river bank all the way to Chester.
