Choir psalter and hymnal, Franciscan use. 482x360. Probably made for the observant friars of the monastery Slavante, Lichtenberg near en:Maastricht. Vellum, ff. 154. This is folio 36r. Psalm 38/Vulgate; Psalm 39/Hebrew. Historiated Initial D ("dixi custodiam vias meas ut non delinquam in lingua mea posui ori meo custodiam cum consisteret peccator adversum me" ["I said: I will take heed to my ways: that I sin not with my tongue. I have set guard to my mouth, when the sinner stood against me."]). Scene with David beheading Goliath.
