English: The Beadle's House, Brechin The site of no 19 and no 21, formed part of the Medieval Chanonry assigned to the Treasurer of the Cathedral Chapter for his manse. The two houses were built about 1758 by Alexander Stott, Burgess of Brechin. In 1888 the site and adjacent ground were acquired for the Cathedral congregation, and from 1904 to 1967 No 21 was occupied by a succession of Beadles.
