At operation a multilocularcyst of the mesentery of the small intestinewas found. It was not adjacent to thebowel, but was completely surrounded bythe layers of mesentery. The contentsclosely resembled sebaceous material,though no analysis of the contents wasmade. No calcification was present. Postoperative Pathological Report. Ex-amination of the cyst and lymph-noderemoved has been made with thefollowing results: The lymph-node showssimply an inflammatory hyperplasia. Thecyst is made up of very dense, coarsefibrous tissue with a slight amount ofgranulation tissue on the inner surface.In this granulation tissue was found a largeamount of blood corpuscles and a con-siderable amount of altered blood pig-ment, so there must have been considerablehemorrhage into the cyst before operation.There was nothing to indicate the natureof the processes to cause a cvst.
