Byram (Hinds County), Mississippi. (But this picture was taken from the east side of the river, thus in Rankin County.) Byram Bridge, built in 1905, is closed to vehicles now but is still open for pedestrian traffic. One of only a few remaining single-lane suspension bridges in the U.S., it was added in 1979 to the National Register of Historic Places.
