| Description |
English: Supriya Chaudhuri is Professor of English and Co-ordinator of the Centre for Advanced Study in English at Jadavpur University, Kolkata. Her interests include Renaissance studies, cultural history, new literature, sport, the cinema and translation. Among recent publications are Petrarch: The Self and the World (co-edited: JU Press, 2012) and articles on the novel, domestic space, sport, and Shakespeare. She also reviews new fiction, and has acted as a judge for the Commonwealth, Crossword, and Sahitya Akademi awards.
This shot was taken during the annual 'Kolkata Literary Meet 2013' was a part of the 'International Kolkata Book Fair 2013' held at the Milan Mela ground. It is a five day talk and interaction with general public of renowned persons from India and abroad. |
