Summary

Description
English: Intial prototype of the StuPot was made by hand by moulding the mixture onto the outer surface of plastic flower pot to provde desired shape. It was dried in sun. To test the effectiveness of the StuPot, spider plant was kept in it for a span of 8 months. During the span of the testing, only water was provided. No other nutrients were given. It was hypothesized that the plant can derive nutrients from the decomposition of the stubble. Favourable results supporting the hypothesis was seen when fungal growth was observed on the outer periphery of StuPot. The StuPot was porous and water leached out. To prevent water and nutrients from ging out, the StuPot was coated on the outside by thin layer of cement. After 8 months, it was seen that paddy stubble was completely decomposed into the soil.
