This image is an example of one of the first advertisements. In the 1860 advertisement from Harrison & Harrod's Trade Directory, photographer John Stringfellow (1797-1828), nephew of inventor John Stringfellow, publicized his availability to take photographic portraits, including stereoscopic images, in Chesterfield.
