Summary

Description
English: Sitting statue of Menkheperraseneb, Second Priest of Amun and minister under Thutmose III. According to Richard Fazzini [Fazzini, Richard A., A Statue of a High Priest Menkheperreseneb in The Brooklyn Museum, in Studies in honor of William Kelly Simpson, vol. 1 (1996) pp 209-225] the statue could refers to an early stage of the career of either the two High Priest of Amun Menkheperraseneb who lived in the same period and were buried in TT86 and TT112. On the other hand, this source of the British Museum suggests that the individual here depicted is a third Menkheperraseneb, unrelated to the two cited above. Black granite, possibly from Karnak, 18th dynasty, New Kingdom. London, British Museum EA708.
