Summary
| Description | Staatsarchiv Chemnitz: Seit 2013 im Peretzhaus, Elsasserstraße 8. Die Peretz AG gehörte zu den weltbekannten Strumpffabriken in Chemnitz. Die jüdische Familie Peretz wurde in der Zeit des Nationalsozialismus verfolgt. Siegfried Peretz, Jahrgang 1859, und seine Frau Lina, geborene Aeberlein, Jahrgang 1860, wurden – so der Text auf den Stolpersteinen auf dem Bürgersteig vor dem Eingang zum Staatsarchiv – in der Verfolgung „gedemütigt, entrechtet“: „Flucht in den Tod 3. 5. 1943“. Auf dem Stolperstein für Albert Peretz, sicher ein Sohn, steht: „Jahrgang 1880, denunziert 1942, Gefängnis Chemnitz, 1942 Buchenwald, 1942 deportiert Auschwitz, 13. 12. 1942“ |
