Description
English: St Michael, Mavis Enderby The church of St Michael is of greenstone in the Gothic style, with traces of Norman work. The chancel was rebuilt to its original length in 1870, and the nave, aisle and porch restored by Fowler in 1875. In the porch is a Norman Pillar Piscina. (A stone basin in a church for draining water used in rinsing the chalice etc.) The churchyard cross has been restored, and there is a sundial erected by a former rector.
