Summary

Description
English: Monument to Edward Henry Rich, 10th Baron Rich, 8th Earl of Warwick and 5th Earl of Holland (1695–1759). He inherited the titles from his cousin Edward Henry Rich, 4th Earl of Holland, 7th Earl of Warwick (1697–1721), of Holland House, Kensington. With a seated figure of white marble, probably by J. B. Guelphi (Source: 'The village centres around St. Mary Abbots church and Notting Hill Gate', in Survey of London: Volume 37, Northern Kensington, ed. F H W Sheppard (London, 1973), pp. 25-41. British History Online http://www.british-history.ac.uk/survey-london/vol37/pp25-41). St Mary Abbots Church, Kensington High Street, London W8, south transept. In various sources the monument is stated to be that of Edward Henry Rich, 4th Earl of Holland, 7th Earl of Warwick (1697–1721), which is clearly incorrect from the inscription of the top tablet (although perhaps the lengthy inscription on the base (not seen) would confirm the attribution to Edward Henry Rich, 4th Earl of Holland, 7th Earl of Warwick (1697–1721). Text of top tablet: (see better image[1])
