Deutsch: Beim Eisenbahnunfall von Halfweg entgleiste am 22. November 1972 eine Güterzuglokomotive bei Halfweg in Nord-Holland. Am Morgen des 22. November 1972 entgleiste die Diesellokomotive Nr. 2279, die einen Arbeitszug auf der Strecke von Haarlem nach Amsterdam zog, bei Halfweg.[1] Sie landete nach der Entgleisung im weichen Bahndamm, in den sie immer tiefer einsank. Die Lokomotive musste vor Ort abgerissen werden, ein Drehgestell und ein Teil der Bodenplatte blieben im Schlamm liegen.[2] Obwohl die Lokomotive gerade erst in den Tilburger Werkstätten renoviert worden war, konnte sie nicht vor der Unfallstelle geborgen werden, da diese durch die Kombination von Torf und Sumpf sehr schlammig war.[3][4][5]
