Summary

Description Space Elephant (Based on a 1946 painting by Dali, an elephant with spider legs carries an obelisk on its back, 1980.) Taken from the painting, The temptations of St.Anthony, Dali's sculpture depicts an elephant traveling in a desert carrying an obelisk, which is a symbol of power, desire and domination. He suggests that St.Anthony was visited by such desires. The elephant has long spider legs which signify desire.
