Description

South Coast: Cape Leeuwin, Cape Chatham and Eclipse Isles, an November 1801 pencil field sketch by William Westall. It depicts several coastal features on the south coast of Western Australia.

This sketch would later be worked up into a watercolour entitled View on the South Coast of Australia, and an 1814 engraving entitled Views on the South Coast of Terra Australis.
