Reason: The map is rife with inaccuracies: there is absolutely no indication in any source that the Arabs confronted an Alesia-style counter-siege, rather than sporadic attacks. Indeed it is unclear where and when exactly the Arabs and Bulgars fought during the siege. Plus of course the two fleets did not confront each other in the Bosporus like this, nor was Galata even fortified in the 8th century.
