Along with passenger service the station was closed on 12/10/64, but was reopened on the extension of the Robin Hood Line to Worksop on 24/5/98. In this 1957 view, an Inspection Saloon is passing, with LMS 2P 4-4-0 No. 40632. Behind, the mountainous waste-tips of the local colliery dominate the scene. |
