File:Sandals made from tires.jpg

Original file(2,592 × 3,872 pixels, file size: 3.14 MB, MIME type: image/jpeg)

Description The Vietcong wore sandals made from old truck tires. Since they left revealing suntan-marks when they were worn during the day the Vietcong only wore them at night - since Vietcong soldiers were heavily recruited from the Vietnamese villages they didn't want to leave a single hint for the US Army pointing them to "suspicious" villagers.
