Salem A. Woods was an important resident of Snohomish County. He was the second county sheriff of Snohomish County and he created the county census of 1862. Woods' namesake is used for an elementary school in w:Monroe, Washington. He also was the county's tax collector. It turns out he was buried in Snohomish pioneer cemetery.
Woods lived in the Monroe area at the time of his death.
