Original file(1,600 × 1,051 pixels, file size: 320 KB, MIME type: image/jpeg)

Description The Castle is named after a monk called Hilarion. The site overlooks Girne (Kyrenia) and the surrounding land all the way to Nicosia and out to sea.It was expanded in the 12th century and became neglected by the Venetians. It is very strategic, even today and Turkey can be seen from here in fine visibility. The castle is open daily. This is a 35mm photo shot on 100 ISO film.
