Description
English: The former USS Jason (AC-12/AV-2) in merchant service as SS Jason, photographed on 26 May 1943 by a blimp based at Naval Air Station Weeksville, North Carlolina (USA), after her conversion to a commercial bulk carrier. Her naval coaling gear has been replaced with a modern self-loader, but the overall layout of the Navy collier remains, including the bridge forward and twin smokestacks.
