The responder is not breathing on a SCBA. The facepiece of an SCBA is simply being worn without its supporting hardware and under a protective hood. The second stage regulator of the SCBA/CABA hardware is not attached to the facepiece. The responder is simply demonstrating the ease of wearing a SCBA facepiece with a protective fire retardant hood. The responder is not breathing supplied air from the breathing air cylinder of the SCBA harness assembly and the 2nd stage regulator is not connected to the facepiece being worn by the user/responder.
