Ben Hancock, assistant chief of staff for 2nd MAW’s operations section, practices locking onto an aircraft with an inert SA-7 man portable air defense trainer during a Missile and Space Intelligence Center training day aboard Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, March 1. The mobile training unit’s visit here was the final stop on a tour which included stops at Marine Corps Air Stations Beaufort and New River to give aviators and intelligence Marines a better understanding of enemy threat weapon capabilities and how MSIC can support 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing units, said Capt. Samuel Curet, 2nd Platoon commander for 2nd MAW’s intelligence section.
