Deutsch: Reliquienschrein (1960) für die Mainzer Heiligen in der Ostkrypta des Mainzer Doms. Anlässlich der Wiederherstellung des Domes und des silbernen Bischofsjubiläums von Albert Stohr wurde ein ein als Goldschmiedearbeit hergestelltes Reliquiar gestiftet, das die Reliquien von 22 im Bistum Mainz verehrten Heiligen enthält. Das Bildprogramm stellt die im Diözesankalender besonders verehrten Mainzer Heiligen dar. Als Material wurde vergoldetes Silber, geschmückt mit Edelsteinen gewählt. Dargestellt sind Märtyrer und Bischöfe, Priester, Gelehrte und Soldaten, Bekenner, Jungfrauen und Witwen. Im Mittelpunkt steht der Bistumsheilige St. Martin; die Heiligsprechung der Hildegard von Bingen wurde antizipiert. Der Schrein wurde von dem Mainzer Goldschmied Richard Weiland angefertigt.
English: The reliquary shrine of the Mainz saints is located in the eastern crypt of Mainz cathedral. On the occacion of the recovery of the cathedral and the 25th bishop anniversary of Albert Stohr a reliquary as goldwork was donated depicting the 22 saints particularly venerated in the diocese of Mainz. As material gold-plated silver decorated with jewels had been chosen. Depicted are martyrs and bishops, priests, scholars and soldiers, confessors, virgins and widows. The focus is on the diocese Saint St. Martin; the canonization of Hildegard von Bingen was anticipated. The shrine had been crafted in 1960 by the Mainz goldsmith Richard Weiland.
Français : La châsse des Saints de Mayence est un reliquaire conservé dans la crypte de la cathédrale de Mayence. Il est réalisé en 1960 par l'orfèvre mayençais Richard Weiland à l'occasion de la restauration de la cathédrale et du jubilé d'argent de l'évêque Albert Stohr. Le haut-relief représente les 22 saints de Mayence particulièrement vénérés dans le calendrier diocésain. La châsse est en argent plaqué or, orné de pierres précieuses.
