Română: Descrierea stemei:

Potrivit anexei nr. 1, stema comunei Vătava se compune dintr-un scut triunghiular cu marginile rotunjite, tăiat.

În partea superioară, în câmp roșu, se află un fluier de aur așezat oblic, flancat de două capete de berbec de aur cu coarne de argint.

În vârful scutului, în câmp albastru, se află o vâltoare de argint.

Scutul este trimbrat de o coroană murală de argint cu un turn crenelat.

Semnificațiile elementelor însumate:

Fluierul semnifică tradiția culturală a zonei reprezentată de "Ansamblul de Fluierași și Băcițe".

Capetele de berbec simbolizează oieritul, ocupația tradițională a locuitorilor.

Vâltoarea este reprezentativă pentru meșteșugurile tradiționale, cel al pivelor și al vâltorilor, precum și cel al țesăturilor locale, bătute și spălate în vâltori.

Coroana murală de argint cu un turn crenelat semnifică faptul că localitatea are rangul de comună.
