Stema comunei Ghidfalău, potrivit anexei nr. 1.1, se compune dintr-un scut triunghiular cu marginile rotunjite, având în câmp albastru o acvilă argintie încoronată, armată cu aur; se află în profil, spre dreapta, cu zborul deschis, stând pe o colină verde cu 3 piscuri, ținând în ghearele piciorului drept o sabie de argint, cu garda de aur.

Acvila este înconjurată de 4 stele de aur.

Scutul este trimbrat de o coroană murală de argint cu un turn crenelat.

Semnificațiile elementelor însumate:

Acvila se regăsește în blazonul familiei Gidofalvy de Ghidfalău.

Sabia semnifică faptul că locuitorii zonei au participat la revoluția din 1848-1849.

Cele 4 stele simbolizează cele 4 sate componente ale comunei.

Coroana murală cu un turn crenelat semnifică faptul că localitatea are rangul de comună.
