Română: Descrierea stemei:

Potrivit anexei nr. 1, stema comunei Şimand se compune dintr-un scut triunghiular cu marginile rotunjite, despicat, cu partea din dreapta tăiată. În partea superioară, în partea dreaptă, în câmp albastru, se află un colan dacic de argint.În partea stângă, în câmp roşu, se află două spice de grâu de aur, încrucişate. În vârful scutului, în partea dreaptă, în câmp auriu, se află două brăzdare de plug negre, aşezate în pal.Scutul este timbrat de o coroană murală de argint cu un turn crenelat.

Semnificaţiile elementelor însumate

Colanul simbolizează descoperirile arheologice din zonă. Brăzdarele de plug şi spicele de grâu semnifică una dintre principalele ocupaţii ale locuitorilor din zonă, agricultura. Coroana murală cu un turn crenelat semnifică faptul că localitatea are rangul de comună.
