English: The RATAN-600 radio telescope, located at Zelenchukskaya in the North Caucasus, Russia, has the largest aperture of any single radio telescope in the world. Beginning operation in 1977, it consists of a ring of angled plane reflectors 600 m in diameter, focusing radio waves on a central conical feed antenna. It covers a frequency range of 600 MHz to 30 GHz with an angular resolution of 1 arcminute at 30 GHz.
