Summary

Description
English: The Quipayo Church also known as Immaculate Conception Church, is a symbol of Catholicism in the Bicol Region. Quipayo as a town was established by Franciscan Missionaries, Fr. Pablo de Jesus and Fr. Bartolome Ruiz in 1578. The church is one of the structures built during the Spanish regime in the region and one of the oldest churches in the Philippines. By virtue of Presidential Decree No. 260 dated August 1, 1973, as amended by Presidential Decree No. 1505, dated June 11, 1978, the Church was declared by the National Historical Institute as a National Historical Landmark.
