English: Prospect Park Boat House, ca 1910 The Boathouse in Prospect Park, Brooklyn New York was designed by Frank J. Helmle and Ulrich Huberty and constructed in 1905-07. It replaced an earlier rustic structure that had been situated on the north shore of the Lullwater and documented in William Merritt Chase's The Boat House, Prospect Park (1887). The boat in this image served as reference for the MV Independence, an electric boat currently sailing in Prospect Park. |
