Fair use rationale for Priestley Medal edit

It is believed that the use of this image in the article about the Priestley Medal is allowable under the fair use clause of United States copyright law for the following reasons:

  1. It is a relatively low resolution image of the medal to illustrate the appearance of the Priestley Medal itself, used in a non-commercial educational article about the Priestley Medal.
  2. There is no free alternative. Any photograph of a Priestley Medal will have the same issues with the copyright / trademark of the medal itself.
  3. It is believed there will be no negative financial impact on the copyright holder from use of the image in this article.
